Rachel’s career is driven by her unwavering belief that a better world is possible and within reach. Born outside of Philadelphia, her journey began at 19 after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, when she co-founded MarchOnHarrisburg, a nonprofit advancing anti-corruption legislation in Pennsylvania. Over the past eight years, she has designed creative campaigns to tackle systemic issues like poverty, racial inequity, and environmental destruction.

With a growing passion for equitable food systems, Rachel returned to Arizona State University to earn a Community Health and Sustainable Food Systems degree. She has since consulted for organizations like the Arizona Worm Farm, creating content to promote sustainable food systems, and the Arizona Department of Agriculture, researching programs to strengthen agricultural resiliency. Now at Food Forward, Rachel channels her creative storytelling skills to help feed people and reduce food waste. Whether producing videos, managing social media, hosting plant-based potlucks, leading foraging walks, painting, or walking her cat, Rachel remains committed to a future built on justice, sustainability, and hope.
